1. Icon 50, so far, so good

   So far, I like the cooler. But it isn't perfect (in terms of what I'm ultimately looking for--please listen to this part Icon). I have several Yetis and they are great in terms of ice retention, etc. But they are also very bulky (external dimensions), are very heavy (w/out any ice or stuff in them), and have limited interior dimensions. We catch trout and redfish (bays, mid-coast TX fishery), so we are talking slot reds 20 to 28 and trout to 25"--one hopes. This Icon 50 works better with that than the Yeti 45, and the ice retention seems on par with the Yeti. And I like the sleeker design of the Icon's outside. But what I'd really like to find, one of these days, is a rotomolded that's designed to hold for 3 days (I rarely make more than a 3 day weekend), would hold limits for two two TX fisherman, and would not be quite so large (exterior dimensions), or so heavy. One of these days someone will make that, if the demand is there. For now, this Icon is the nearest thing for me. Also, I was put on to this cooler by Kevin at ECC, from whom I just bought a boat.
